Research shows the average British woman spends 21 years of her life looking after others, and only three on herself!

We may be commended for our multi-tasking abilities, but all that running around is enough to get anyone worked up every now and again, which isn't good for us. It can lead to tiredness and stress, which can build up and cause us to take it out on those we're closest to. Psychologist Jenni Trent Hughes calls this Vesuvius Syndrome and our research shows 63% of women can relate to feeling like this.

So how do you get back to being a calm, domestic goddess? By taking a bit of time out for yourself a little bit of selfish time when you get to do something you enjoy, making you feel happy and putting everything back into perspective. After all, when you feel happy, you make others feel happy.
